Lactalis committed to contributing to a more sustainable food system
The transition toward more sustainable modes of agricultural and industrial production is essential to reducing environmental impacts, developing the potential of our employees and our communities, while ensuring the economic viability of our business.
Lactalis Group’s size and scope is a strength that enables us to identify, test and replicate the best solutions that help address the growing challenges of our time.
Our mission is to offer healthy, tasty and accessible products.
We are committed, to meeting the challenges that impact us throughout our entire value chain.
To guide this work, we have identified our four CSR priorities:
Fighting against climate change
Promoting responsible packaging
Ensuring animal welfare
Protecting biodiversity and forests
Ensuring CSR governance across countries in which we operate
To ensure the robustness and relevance of our sustainability strategies, we have set up operational working groups. With our corporate technical experts, we build our vision, our policies and our lines of action, while proposing commitments and timelines for each material topic.
Throughout this process, the proposals are discussed within an international network of CSR professionals. This network is made up of around 21 internal experts from a variety of technical skills.
In Australia, our CSR strategy is led by our CSR Steering Committee.
At Lactalis, CSR is everyone’s business: ensuring that our corporate mission is carried out responsibly.
